SITREP:

- Self-hosted LND/LNBits: failed (I'll check the logs when I get home)

- Coinos in DDG browser: failed, crashed browser

- Coinos in Vanadium: failed, unable to route (with a 66 sat fee)

- Coinos in Vanadium with a 166 sat fee: success!

The register didn't lose my order, despite the extended amount of time it took me to pay (probably 4-5 minutes). So good job there, kiosk dev team.

I'd still be hard pressed to recommend a non -custodial lightning wallet at this point. I hope to change that by continuing to post my experience and help test with real world transactions.

What's your capacity and channels look like on your self hosted node?

300K outbound across 4 channels. Was trying to spend 13K. Minimum channel capacity is 70K

Link to ddg browser?

I got it from F-Droid, but they link to https://duckduckgo.com/app as the app's website.

That one was interesting because it would crash the browser on startup. I was able to keep launching it and trying to close that tab as fast as possible and eventually I was able to close it before the crash occurred. Technology is amazing.

Worked with Zeus and Alby from my umbrel node. Unfortunately, I didn't take pics. Which means I'll have to go back and get "documentation" burger, fries and sundae shake, again... Oh the horror 🤤🤤🤤🤤

LNBits shows the payment as having gone through (which is incorrect, but it means it probably handed it off to LND successfully).

Once I get to the root cause, I'll open a ticket on LNBits requesting that it be made clear in the UI whether a transaction succeeded or not.

Because it does make sense to gave it in the transaction history so the user knows that LNBits got the request and dutifully passed it on, but the payment was not received and thus your account balance has not changed.
