A blockchain can only achieve two of the three things; decentralization, scalability or security, at a time.

Bitcoin opted for decentralization and security.

Keep that in mind before supporting any crap in the base layer, tradeoffs are inevitable.

Exactly, bitcoin scalability must always occur above the base layer, in layer 2 solutions or even in layer 3 as in the case of Cashu or Fedimint.
