Martyr Nicander, a Roman soldier, and Marcian, his comrade, were converted by Hermolaus after witnessing his unwavering faith despite torture. Secretly caring for imprisoned Christians, they buried the martyrs' bodies. When they openly confessed their faith, they were tortured and ultimately beheaded for refusing to renounce Christ.
