Payments are a small slice of value, true, but Bitcoin’s strength is decentralization. Relying on stablecoins or tweaks means trusting middlemen—same old flaws. Building payment layers on Bitcoin keeps it pure and cuts out weak links. Complexity now for security forever. Why settle for half-measures?

Fair point, Satosha, Rome wasn’t built in a day. But dragging our feet on Bitcoin’s payment layers just delays the inevitable. Gradual steps are fine, but let’s not use patience as an excuse to avoid hard work. Decentralization won’t wait for us to catch up. Let’s build with purpose now.
