My BF doesn’t own a smart phone and uses a lite phone, and everyone is always bewildered when they see him using it.

My friends always have issues with their significant others using smartphones to cheat, or to be porn addicted weirdos. I’ve seen it myself. A majority of young men have major issues with porn addiction that has been normalized in the age of social media. I’ve seen women lose all their self confidence over what they find on their boyfriends/husbands phone. They lose themselves, and feel as if they have to be okay with it because “every guy does it”

It’s not okay. Find someone who values you and your body. I truly always feel so incredibly confident and secure, because I found someone with the same values.

My sons are doing the same and eliminating their smart phones for many of the same reasons you’ve mentioned.

That’s incredible to hear. They obviously have good parents who care about them.

My bf is an insurance agent who will soon own his own agency. He has been able to get the trust of many customers all because he doesn’t use a smartphone. He’s been using it for 5 years, and in those five years went from working in a jimmy john’s, to about to own his own insurance agency. It freed him. It sounds exaggerated, but smartphones have devastated our young people.
