I’m learning that the only politicians I can remotely trust are the ones who voluntarily choose to not run again, start speaking their mind, and do awesome shit in the world when they leave 🫡

Mandela is the ultimate example of a politician who voluntarily stepped down so that power didn’t corrupt him. I wish there were more leaders like him.
