are there mechanisms in nostr to prevent impersonations? a part from delegating verification to twitter?

you can delegate somewhere else besides twitter, any cross post to any social will do, where someone can check that you’re npub is the same on the other site

perhaps a nostr client could constantly listen for new profiles and notify when a similar to X is found
