
# Install Brave Browser
When it comes to your privacy, it is important you keep your web browser(s) up to date. Unfortunately the version of Brave Browser offered through your Linux distro's software center is most likely outdated.
You can get instructions on how to install the latest, most up to date version of Brave Browser from [the Brave website](https://brave.com/linux/#release-channel-installation).
For personal conveinence, the steps for installing Brave in Debian, Ubuntu, and Mint are posted below. For other distros, see the link above.

sudo apt install curl
sudo curl -fsSLo /usr/share/keyrings/brave-browser-archive-keyring.gpg https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/brave-browser-archive-keyring.gpg

sudo apt update
