What's the point of paying your taxes in BTC?

The article says the government will "immediately" convert the BTC into Swiss shitcoins.

So you're wasting your BTC so they can send them to some centralized exchange? Or even worse, to the Swiss National Bank?

Imagine living 100% on Btc. If you have dirty fiat, always give them dirty fiat.

I believe in BTC and accumulate and hodl because I think it's pure collateral, wealth against which eventually I will be able to borrow fiat to acquire fiat-generating assets.

Fiat isn't going anywhere, at least not for us the plebs. We will always be forced to use it. Bitcoin just gives us a way to generate it from outside the hamster wheel.

Imagine getting paid in Bitcoin.

I would see it the same way I would see getting paid in land, or in oil drilling rights, or in diamonds.

Bizarre, anti-rational from the payer's point of view, and probably something to quietly and quickly accept without making too much noise about it. In case they change their minds.

If you can pay in an ever-depreciating "money", why would you pay in an ever-appreciating form of property?

You wouldn't. As i said, if you have dirty fiat, give it to them (after all it was them who printed it in the first place). If you don't, you now can pay your taxes without the risk of using an exchange on your end.
