I just had a conversation with a financial advisor I really respect, he’s in his mid to late 70’s. He asked me what I think about “crypto” I told him I only know about Bitcoin and everything else is a ponzi scheme. He then repeated the typical objections “ it’s not scarce because alt-coins” and it doesn’t have any “intrinsic value” i pointed out that Austrian Econ teaches us that all value is subjective and that Bitcoin can be transferred permissionless which is very valuable. He liked those points. Also pointed out that no one uses alt coins for anything real and that BTC has vibrant circular economies around the world. I mentioned the historical performance also and that shitcoins don’t really have that. He’s still not convinced 😞. He did ask if I thought he was too late at 100k. Told him I’m still buying DCA.
