How come every social media ever in existence starts with food and coffee pics then slowly diverges into a cesspool. Not saying this is Nostr, just an observation on what gets posted a lot on nostr. #grownostr

Itβs a good observation. Food is easy to post about and itβs a nice part of the day I like to share.
Could be perception? Could be Dunbar's number? Could be the incentives of the system itself?

Food and coffee are universal and regular activities each day providing regular source of content.
Once the network has established that most of the subjects are pretty boring and unoriginal the knives come out to thin the herd.
That's just nature.
