On phones, any client with Orbot would be able to connect over TOR.

On computers, most clients in the Tor browser would be able to connect over TOR (albeit a bit slow if clearnet resources are used). Snort is exposed as an onion service too: https://github.com/0xtrr/onion-service-nostr-clients

No, on phone not every client can do that.

No? Why?

Idk 🤷‍♂️ I have to test all of them. I tried Primal on iOS already and it doesn’t show tor relays as connected

best to deploy one instance n rest use that proxy by rest on same lan

It would be good having nostr client connect directly to onion addresses and not only using tor as exit node.

Perfectly possible by using nostr clients and relays exposed as onion services

So I have to try to adding onion addresses to relays .. Actually I have amethyst configured with socks port running with tor with invisible pro .. So I thought it worked by exit nodes only

If your client connects to clearnet relays, and all connections are routed over TOR, you'll hit exit nodes. The only way you can only use TOR would be to use a client that lets you disable clearnet urls and ONLY connect to .onion domains.

Well I was not using nostr .. Anyway it is the same , also if you use tor client if you interact with another mint that it is on clearnrt and don't understand onionaddress , you will have problems ... I don't understood why onion and tor wasn't assumed as base .. LN was assumed to work with tor since the beginning .. So people could choose .. Here it seems that very few wallets and mints work on tor

Ops sorry :) completely wrong thread
