Framed #811 (nope. I watched the latest Inside No. 9 on BBC 2 which was good. I repaired a dishwasher which involved taking it apart and putting it back together which was quite a workout/painful, and luckily a nephew was printing off mock exam papers/revising and was on hand to help. I am hoping it won't leak but I'm not entirely confident. It was a £7 part, a bit of a puzzle, and sweaty elbow grease, or a new dishwasher. I previously successfully replaced stuff like inlet solenoids/pipes, I suspect at some point there will be cascading failure, not because of the, competent, replacements but because it's that old* and out of warranty/uninsurable a decade ago.)

* Which, I think, in terms of waste and the environmental costs of manufacturing, is good. It wasn't a pricey dishwasher. It's not massively inefficient. I don't want to sound like I enjoy fixing mechanical stuff because I really don't unless it's easy and doesn't cause me literal pain. It is and wasn't easy.
