CALIFORNIA SUMMER SUNDAY

Ocean waves caress the shore

herring seagulls keow and soar

palm trees sway in gentle breeze

and bathing babes–-a summer’s tease.

Golden rays kiss the sand

lovers stroll hand in hand

kids fly kites along the pier

in sky so blue, so vast, so clear.

California summer Sunday

where time and worries fade away

a sparkling place I call my home

where I love to live and roam.
