I meant generally speaking, bad. As in, the government now has a reason to *attempt* censoring, regulating, or otherwise interfering with bitcoin. (Emphasis on attempt since their efforts would likely change nothing). What I’m saying is akin to what others were saying about child porn being inscripted. “Illegal” material stored on chain gives the government more leeway for attempting harsher regulation.

Agreed; could "kick the hornet's nest" for sure... and illegal content like you mentioned isn't the hill most want to die on.

I'd rather them come for bitcoin on different grounds, but will fight for it either way.

Omg... they have much more reason already before. Everything and Anything that threatens the USD will get in the crosshair. Bitcoin is in the crosshair since 2017.

They cant do shitt about it. Prevent me from sending text messages over a public network... lets see who wins.

Yeah, anything that threatens the USD is in the crosshairs so they will use every possible reason they can find to try to shut it down. One good reason for the government to now attack bitcoin even more is free and open access to a mod that makes your AR fully automatic, which is illegal. I can literally hear Elizabeth Warren in my head saying bitcoin should be banned because it’s being used to host illegal files that pose a threat to public safety.

A ban would be best for Bitcoin, i am a Bitcoiner from heart and i not think US corporations or the Gov should be able to hold it. But Bitcoin is open and free to everyone so i even accept if they do.
