but mary and joseph obviously raised jesus to his 12th year in Nazareth thus the INRI and all that

nazareth is a long way from bethlehem, what is the context of that, they go for the census in a town a little south of bethlehem with a pregrant woman on a donkey, and obviously for some reason decided at some point to walk all the way to nazareth

jerusalem must have been perceived by this couple to be a bad place to raise their boy, or to live...
