I was trying to pay a vendor today who is in Europe

you said the bank charges them $50 for every transaction with the United States

or 50 euros I guess same thing

I said well I can just send you a Bitcoin and it's free

and he said no they they tax you on your Bitcoin holdings

so I guess the only way to own Bitcoin in Europe is to be secretive about it

what the hell are they thinking?

"Bitcoin will put me in the poor house.

Here you have to pay a heavy tax on the value of bitcoin on January 1. Even when you don't trade the bitcoin in for euros. So I have to pay actual euros for a virtual amount of.money.. that may drop in value.."
