When I google GME news, I read about some Solana based GME token and about GME issuing new stock right now when the hype was coming up.

Who has some overview?

I read that there were more short positions than stocks in 2021 and there is even more shorts now?

What happens if a short trade doesn't get honored? To my understanding, a short position is a promise to deliver the asset at a later point, right? Is there no expiry to those positions? Did they remain on some books for 3 years without the counter-part to those trades actually getting the stocks?

Is the shit-coin angle anything relevant?

I heard that they have to cover their shorts this month. 21. June seems to be an important date.

So where did you hear that? I assume there is some definite source for such information and I also doubt that all shorts have the same expiration date.

With my very limited understanding of the situation it sounds like GME issued stocks, diluting old stocks and helping the short positions? What do people say about GME's plans? What do they say why they issued new stocks? Is there any possible timeline in which the short traders get burnt and the stock holders win? With this going on since 3 years it feels like there isn't?
