You could have mentioned Nostr 🥹 Great article, Troy. We need to keep working hard to destroy the Bitcoin FUD and showcase that it's truly a tool to better humanity, including people in the financial system that have been taken advantage of or forgotten by the legacy system. Dems should rally around that point. 🔥🔥🔥
If I recall it was in a draft
"In the event of a repressive Trump regime.." just stop with the bullshit already. Such Che shirt larping.
Notice that we did not make that prediction.
"Those who predict a dystopian second Trump term should embrace all these tools and learn how to use them effectively." The entire article is selling bitcoin to democrats by presenting Trump as an equivalent authoritarian as others even going so far as to allude that he is the same as scary Russia. "Famously, Navalny adopted bitcoin in 2016 to route around his censorable Russian bank accounts and funding channels."
Just more propoganda trash.
Notice they a clear to state "Those who predict". Save from Kyle (I can't say if he does or doesn't don't follow him) you will not find any scare mongering rhetoric from any of these authors.
What you see is an intelligent appeal to people who "feel" strongly that they will be repressed. Examples of Bitcoin helping people these people view as hero's is what will open their minds to Bitcoin. This isn't the crowd to give the Canadian truckers protest example to.
But again you'll be hard pressed to find the authors using the kind of rhetoric that some of the audience this piece is intended for has used.
Great article. Either you are pro financial inclusion and support Bitcoin or you are pro financial authoritarianism and want Bitcoin banned.
What has the interaction with the editors like with this piece?
I’m not the point person there… but very positive. Andrew, Bradley, and Craig have published a piece there once before.
Great to hear that. Thanks for putting it out there. It seems really important to have a piece with the combined academic and credentialed voices sending a message. Financial abuses towards ideological opponents of a Trump administration may help usher in era of awareness among progressives the importance of permission-less protocols.
NYT saying at Trump Vance going to print so much money so bullish https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/16/us/politics/trump-vance-us-dollar.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare&sgrp=c-cb
Keep an eye on this guy, make sure you give him a follow, he's about to surprise you with something. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but I can say he's going to reveal something really interesting. 😎
Stay tuned, folks.
