This hackneyed argument has been so beaten to death by so many different libertarians and others over the centuries that it just makes me throw my hands up in the air in disgust to hear it. Governments do roads poorly in nearly all cases. The best road systems were developed by private entities and then got worse AND more expensive the more government got involved with them.
