I would never advocate for not voting but we also should recognize that voting is a low impact act although it is also low effort. Also, trust in the election integrity is very low so I would understand people not participating in a system they don’t trust. Then finally, at least in the US, the elections are unfair and only candidates that are dependent of the system of control are given a chance to be elected. So I don’t think there is a good case to shame the non-voters.
