Discussion thread about podcasting:

I am working on a #Bitcoin focused podcast with a side of #Nostr. I want this to be Podcasting 2.0 / Nostr only and if possible, to not have traditional advertising and sponsorship, 100% #V4V.

I’m planning mining related content and to share some recent experiences I’ve had speaking with legislators and lobbyists about Bitcoin.

I’m also interested in doing interviews, however I believe this can get very repetitive with Bitcoin guests and would like to bring something different.

So what, if anything would you like to hear that’s missing or not covered enough?

I have access to a full studio in Poplar Bluff, Missouri that could also be a Bitcoin meetup space and would like to live stream over #nostrnests. I’m open to multiple hosts and can do remote guests / hosts. I could use some help with music, graphic art and physical studio art if anyone is interested? All contributors will share in any sats paid V4V.

Great idea. #Nostr will benefit from more strong signal.

I launched my No Strings show last month with many of the same goals you discussed here. Mine is focused on Nostr for plebs and also planning to do Nostr content for normies who want to learn about Nostr. Make the tech more approachable. The show is full #V4V, no ads or sponsors.

I’d be interested in collaborating. Currently doing this in my limited spare time outside of work, family, etc. Having a co-host on occasion on a show can create more energy. It’d be cool to hop on and help host an episode, see how it goes.

I’ll give it a listen and love the rotation of hosts idea. It would be cool to have a 24/7 stream formatted like a radio station where you have a mix of music and talk. I was a DJ of a low power radio station and it was a lot of fun. Imagine that, but with the reach of #Nostr and the Internet.

That would be interesting. Most difficult part of 24/7 is having enough content to keep interesting. Look at cable news and sports channels. Happy to work through some of the tech and details if you have questions. We can keep talking here or shoot me a DM or something.

It would definitely be mostly music with occasional station ID drops. With things like #[3] I’m sure we could give music creators a platform as well. Live stream over #[4] . I agree the trick would be to keep it interesting and to fairly split any sats streamed and zapped.

So with the 24/7, maybe music with occasional programs mixed in? Or keep the speaking shows separate?

I’m thinking mixed in like a radio station, but no commercials unless promoting another show, etc.
