I don’t speak for Will. But I’ll speak for myself. I get pretty annoyed and angry when devs talk about ecash as equal to bitcoin. Even though they know damn well they are taking peoples bitcoin and issuing Casio tokens. We don’t fight hard enough against this behavior. It’s one thing if we as experienced users understand and know the risks, but it’s not helpful to new users and it’s damaging to Bitcoin, Not helping.

I know lots of people agree and think it’s helping adoption and it’s easy to onboard. the goal always needs to be sovereignty. Not mints and custodians.
