Binance is restricted in Venezuela. Told a friend to download nostr:npub1ajlrwgfj4yerhqf7ady03h7wmtk2qr3gs7h3sxcx83k05yld36sswpzx3q. Hopefully he can get it working and pay its bills (USDT is big there). Hopefully someday he will live in the #Bitcoin standard, and if he does he surely will be ahead of many here in the US

But hope does not create change

What makes you think Tether nor JAN3 won’t give in to state pressure?

#bitcoin is for free exchange without state or federated 3rd party control

I understand the implications, but in Venezuela bitcoin doesn’t work for spending, just saving. People still have the mindset of the dollar being superior, and exchanging in dollars is paramount there.

Until perception changes, there won’t be a conversion, and for that to happens needs to be pain, and then education. IMO

Suggest blink (Bitcoin Beach) have him try stablesats as opposed to USDT if you can

Great suggestion, will look into it 🫡
