There's $1000 plots of land in New Mexico. And a bunch of them.

I wonder why people don't usually do this kind of stuff more often? Buying cheap land and going to live in the desert with a van, etc?

Or I'm probably missing something fundamental here :D

Apart from that it's pretty possible though right? I mean what's the biggest disadvantage?

Solar panels, water, Starlink. Looks pretty great?
