I love dogs, but I think dogs are not gifts to be given.

Fully agree. Whoever gifts a dog clearly doesn’t understand dogs and shouldn’t have one.

When I took my German shepherd for training I learned that dog training is actually for the owners and not the dog 😁

Yes indeed. I learned more from my dog than he did from me.
