Ok so here's an RSS version of one of my own pieces of music. The music is raw, industrial sounding noise funk and comes from an emotional place, although it maybe too grating for some ears, it might be soothing to others... There's more details in the 'show notes'. This is a stand alone broadcast.

My intention for sometime now has been self-releasing music, on infrastructure I own (a second hand ThinkCentre off ebay) with the ability to include payments for those who wish to support. (Another version is available on https://mirlo.space/inpc if you prefer, this platform is very supportive toward music makers). It will not be on Spotify or other streaming platforms, although accessible through RSS with Apple for example, at least as I understand it). It will however be available on Podcasting 2.0 supporting apps eg. Fountain, Podverse, as well as being accessible on the free and open internet via ActivityPub, Nostr and RSS protocols.

I'm sure I'm doing this in a way that annoys someone, be they any kind of purist but I'm one bloke in a shed doing his thing. There's no other team, my wife thinks it's boring and my cat, George, can't code (neither can I). However, if there are basic mistakes I'm making then I welcome and appreciate any feedback.

As I've said previously, I've a solo EP and a band album on the way, this is a testing ground for these. I will do so by making lots of mistakes, I'm not particularly hot with reading manuals, I just press all the buttons until something works/doesn't work.

But both brilliant!

Nice recovery๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

I actually felt bad

You was just about to get a gob full of abuse then๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Ooff! Toni makes bloody brilliant noise!

G, don't you know me by now?

Mistakes are good. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

That's absolutely spot on that Matt๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป, sounds like some of Thom Yorkes solo stuff. I just throw my compositions together in a matter of hours (Usually pissed). You can tell you're a sound engineer, everything is polished, crisp and clear๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป.

The funny thing with that track was it was super quick... The guitar and bass, were they not swamped in delay, sound fucking terrible! ๐Ÿคฃ drums were from a Pocket Operator and processed live (ie no automation, just bending EQ and delays) but it did capture a mood. Some tracks are just like that (and always the ones I prefer) others torture me forever and turn out like absolute shit.

Am excited about the new EP though, whatever it is, I think it's a good summary of where my brain's at right now. Doubt I'll ever get the Justin Beiber gig but I'll have a lot of fun anyway.

And thanks for saying so Toni :)

Ohhh, very nice. Mind if I put this on the next tape? I'll include all the value tag info in the digital version as well!
