This is just straight up sabotage of Alberta's economy for purely ideological purposes. In the face of a global energy transition the rest of the world is rising to meet this is the stuff of banana republics.

I'm with Smith. Wind and solar has exploded in AB in the last 6 years. To the point the grid is unstable. Constant grid alerts and constant importing power from BC SK and MN(Montana). AB has enough renewable contingency to produce 80% of load but only accounts for less than 5% annual generation. The upgrades to the transmission and distribution system are extremely expensive.
Time to pause until new safe clean nuclear is available. Only 10 years away.
