Something I think many people forget when the discussion about nodes vs miners comes up is that every miner is a node. And I think there are far more miners then there are nodes that aren't mining.
Sometimes miners don't get the respect they deserve in this regard.
Most of the miners doesn't run their own node
Every miner is a specialized node that relays new blocks to other miners and other nodes.
I see what are you implying, that mining is just a function in node software. But practically speaking most of the entities owning miners are not running their own node. They are connected to some pool which runs the Bitcoin software for them.
Except that miner is not a specialized node. It's just a regular node with generate option(mining function) enabled.
There's no such thing as nodes vs miners. They're not the same thing. Miners are dumb #drones. At least that's what they're supposed to be.
The #Virtuous #fullnodes and Bitcoin loyalist ARE! #Bitcoin. Virtuous fullnodes are different than other nodes. Virtuous nodes exist exclusively to support and enforce the purity and virtue of Bitcoin.
The virtuous nodes and loyalist are the only legitimate representatives of Bitcoins interest. Because their interested and Bitcoins interests are the same..🧡😊🚀♾️🗽

Miners and the physical power they project is by far the most important and remarkable part of the protocol.
POW is a remarkable and important part of #Bitcoin. But it's far from the most important part. Or the most remarkable part.
The most remarkable part is the trust minimize P2P transaction protocol. You could abandon POW and it would still be Bitcoin. Not wise.
But it's not Bitcoin without the P2P protocol that's supported and validated by the virtuous fullnodes and Bitcoin loyalist. They ARE! #Bitcoin..🧡😊🚀♾️🗽
You could not abandon POW and still be Bitcoin. Without POW Bitcoin is a meaningless shitcoin fiat scam. I wanna make some really inflammatory comments but I'll refrain.
