It's made complicated by centralised exchanges and KYC.
This is why I love things like Robosats. A newcomer can get their corn with an app and a browser.
Used it for the first time in a while yesterday. The UX is really quite good.
At the very least, a lot less complicated than everything else. It's transacting uncut. And it is so refreshing.

Bitcoin is simpler than the inner workings of the dollar system.
This is so important.
When I look at the whole pie that is my energy output and subtract corporate taxes, income tax, sales tax, property tax, banking fees, insurance premiums, and on and on: it became clear that what’s left is a small, devaluing percentage.
My TFSA and RRSP barely tread water against inflation when managed by the bank. What did I do: I expended countless additional hours of energy researching and self-directing my small piece of the pie. I don’t enjoy it. As soon as I’m comfortable with an investing concept in the traditional markets: the rules seem to change. 2020 I said “I’m done with this”.
#Bitcoin (so simply) stores the value of my efforts, obviously, but it’s greatest recurring gift is the time it saves me.
Bitcoin allows us to save again and pursue other meaningful thing in life.
People are indoctrinated into the dollar system because they grew up with it. And from their perspective, it just works. They don't have to think about it, so it seems simpler.
Bitcoin will grow as people educate themselves. I think we're still in the early adopter phase.

Once you know how to do something its easy. Everything is hard while learning.

It's pretty simple compared to most things.
I'd say exercise and healthy eating are probably simpler.
Yep..
Churning block after block…no drama.
The technical aspect of BTC in time will be abstracted away.
But the insights and understanding gained from learning the under the hood stuff…valuable, we are the lucky ones imo.
People will learn about it once they become aware of the sinking ship and the sturdy lifeboat that awaits.

The complicated part is trying to change your fiat mindset. It takes years to unlearn everything we've been taught about money and how the world works.
Only if the herd wants to come out of their slavery mindset and understand how simple it is than fiat systems
