My guess is they only have paid relays. So the zap note is denied from people who are not paid relay members.

Or it's just slow. I just tested it, and my zap only showed up after a minute or so.

I zapped 10k, yesterday, and it's not visible.

I checked your relays, and none of them have any of your zaps. So you need to add at least an open relay where everyone can post to. If you zap me 1 sat, I can show the logs of my zapper.

Did it. Can you see that zap?

I whitelisted more kinds on thecitadel.nostr1.com .

I sent it from Nostrudel and can't see it, either.

I zapped you 27 sats from Freerse and that one shows up.

Hmm. I changed the relays in the two apps, to make sure they match, and I only see the zaps in Freerse.

Nostrudel is showing them glacially slowly. Weird.

Ligess always sends out a kind 0 event of the zapper profile first, as some relays don't accept events without a profile.

This is the first paid one, purplepages blocks the zap request, which makes sense. Noswhere blocks both, but it looks to be accepted on forest and citadel.

I did notice some empty objects in the log, not sure what that is. Those might be relay notices which I'm losing now?

On another zap, it got 'restricted: not an active paid member' from nostr.wine.

After this, I think you played with a different app, for a 25 sat zap: 'An error occured while getting invoice: No relay tag on zap request', not sure why that would be?

So it seems at least some relays do accept them, but not that many.

thecitadel is your relay?

Yes, and everyone can write to it.

Huge mess.

I can now see 28 zaps on the OpenSats note, but that's still not all of them.

I think I have it reversed, the zap receipt is not being published on your relays. Do you have any open relays in your relay list?

Everyone should ask providers of paid relays they use to allow anyone to publish receipts when the zap request came from a pubkey with write permissions. I just did this for our own relay the other day:

#[4] Does the filter do this?

Filter sits in front of our public relay aggregator so as long as the zap ends up on one of the many public relays we read from, it will make it to filter.

Only paid users can write to filter and we broadcast those notes back out.

We COULD add this to nostr.wine since it works like most paid relays, but it does open up a way to get spammed. We whitelisted most of the large wallet providers a while back but if you run your own zapper you’ll need to buy access for it as well.
