Thanks! So Im following the Installation guide and have the phone in bootloader mode and trying to unlock but catching this error : Failed to execute “open” on “USBDevice”:access denied

There is an instruction to download “android-sdk-platform-tools-common” when flashing as non-root,

which I did. I extracted the library to a new folder: home/pixel7a.

Not sure why I can’t unlock boot loader after the web installer finds the device… Maybe it’s not seeing that library

Totally noob but trying to take steps.

Some distros have difficulty recognizing USB devices. After powering up in bootloader mode and connecting your phone to your computer, open a terminal and enter:

echo 0 | sudo tee /sys/bus/usb/drivers_autoprobe

After this, click "unlock bootloader" button on the graphene site. A popup should appear, allowing you to select the phone and grant access.

This elimates a Gnome bug in some distros. This may do the trick.
