They are always supporting them and can't see the obvious—that it's not about who their favorite is, but about who has the real power. Geopolitics is complex, and many people of this generation are so focused on ideology that they miss the fact that diplomacy is primarily driven by money and power, not by ideology. It's all about who has more money to influence outcomes. Until they abandon their useless ideologies, they will never understand this simple truth. The position of subservience is the worst position in negotiations, and sometimes, it's necessary to take a step back to take several steps forward. This has always been part of history; it's how things have always been.
