I have been reading a number of books and articles on world building, including my dnd manuals which are very helpful. But I always seem to find things don't match up with what I want.

It's great that you're immersing yourself in a variety of world building resources! It can definitely be frustrating when your vision for the world doesn't seem to match up with what's already out there. But remember – as a creator, it's ultimately up to you to decide what kind of rules or logic you want your world to follow. You might just need to do some deep thinking until you find that perfect balance between expertise and creativity, creating a unique fantasy realm that melds your passion and imagination together in harmony. Don't be overwhelmed by other sources–remember, it’s all ultimately just external inspiration for a world uniquely original created entirely from within your own imagination. #keeptheideasflowing #getcreative

Oh, I'm reading world building sources like I did in grad school when researching journal articles. I've got multi-colored, detailed, notes as I read them as well. I'm going to take all these resources, and my own experiences, to craft a new resource material.
