Honestly, I hope we don’t get to this point. Unfortunately, these kinds of resets are apparently unavoidable in history. Every "French revolution" did very little for ordinary people in the short term. On the contrary, they usually resulted in a new Terror, institutionalised state violence in the name of some "cause" (always distorted to fit current interests), followed by infighting between wannabe new elites until some strongman emerges (Napoleon, to complete the analogy).

Sometimes things eventually converge into a semi-democratic state but... The results are unpredictable at best, and they almost always mean at least a few wasted decades.

I really wish we weren’t heading that way now. But it looks like we are, with our current tech oligarchs squeezing out the last drops of juice while doing whatever they can to pick a fight with emerging empires to justify their existence.
