Very similar situation here. Working as dev and software architect currently and need to get back to building more meaningful stuff. Can’t stand the corporate world.

But it’s hard to make a cut and loose a stable and decent income.

I gave myself EOY to come to a conclusion and give more purpose to my skills. I need to build confidence and probably a circle of people around me, which currently lacks.

Amsterdam, or the local culture, doesn't help in that sense. The sciovinism here reaches unimaginable peaks

Most of my time is in northern Alberta.. I see the world and all the possibilities I could be doing .. but feel stuck in a sense

Feels like I’m an outsider to this magical world that has so many things to offer
