deepseek = best model, good, cheap

llama = boomer model, good, cheap

claude = coders with bloat, good, inexpensive

xai = karen tech, expensive, privacy invasive

openai = office tech, very expensive, privacy invasive

gemini = google tech, good, price unkown, privacy invasive

I would stick with deepseek and llama for Open projects, and some claude for coding. Of course, everything will change in a month.

Can you use the new Deepseek on GPT4All or LM Studio using high end laptop yet?

Note that Llama has a proprietary license. It isn't open source, despite what Meta says about it.

What do OpenAI and Gemini do that make them privacy invasive? How is your privacy compromised?

This isn't my experience at all.

deepSeek is trash.

Llama is by far the best local model.

Claude is the best coder

Grok3 is the most intelligent and informative. If you want correct answers use grok, yes to privacy concerns.

Misclicked like on this lol. Have no opinion on these

Eliza is still the best.

:-)

Interesting. Tell me more.

The first?

Wrote a few like it myself, long ago.

"I see. Let's explore that a bit more" 😂

My reply was a generic Eliza-like reply

Nice summary 😂. I expect Gemini 2.5 to remain free for quite a while, at least until Google have some market share
