Lol, he is a pretty incredible dude. There are a few really great engineers hacking away at diy mining and you can find all of them on that discord. I mainly just lurk and I did buy a bitaxe from developeralgo. It is mostly skots baby though.
Mining hardware is one of the last major things that need fixing for true decentralization for me and he is doing amazing work to get us there.
