If you hate fiat and crypto but somehow support stablecoins, which is a fusion of both

Please meditate or something

Cognitive dissonance

meditate? when did you become so soft about shitcoins? 🤣

Getting old

I don’t “support” them, but acknowledge an interesting use case. “Faster Fiat”.

Fling dog shit around at record speeds 💩

Yep.

It's just the tip sir!

Some people are forced to use "stablecoins" in less fortunate countries even if the hate Fiat

Forced is a strong word. But I do agree there may be conditions in which I can understand that between only bad options, they may be one of the less bad options people have available.

Stablecoins are the lovechild of fiat and crypto guess some folks just can’t resist a good mashup, even if it contradicts their whole vibe.

clap clap clap

For the record, I also don't like stablecoins on cashu.

Fiat Cashu

That would be a particularly weird place to see them. Lightning I sort of get -- if you're going to use stablecoins, at LEAST don't compound it by using them on Tron or Ethereum (or even Liquid). Ideally, use bitcoin. If the volatility is too much to stomach, and the risk profile of your local fiat is worse than stablecoins...you have my sympathy. Don't delude yourself into thinking its a good idea, but I'd not stand in the way of the tools being rolled out to use it with.

It's not that I support stablecoins, but in countries where the state comes down hard on tax reports, the stablecoin is a good "middle man" to get to btc. Buy some stable so you have something to report to the state and justify that spending, then do a couple swaps to get to btc privatly. At least here in Brazil it's a very useful solution

Support stablecoins would be a strong word for where I'm at, but I'm okay with tolerating their being supported in bitcoin tools. If only because if someone's otherswise stuck in a hyperinflationary currency that is prone to being rugged anyway, and they're living hand to mouth, it may be their trojan horse (or stepping stone) that gets them eventually onto bitcoin.

That said, why anyone who could access a dollar based bank account would use them is entirely beyond my understanding.
