China's government has released footage suggesting the appointment of a new military secretary, Lieutenant General Fang Yongxiang. According to reports, Fang was part of President Xi Jinping's recent inspection visits to PLA units, including a visit to an unspecified rocket force brigade last week. This is not the first time Fang has been seen with Xi, having accompanied him on previous state media visits.
