Well Bitcoin is a type of crypto currency. So it's difficult for me to get upset at normies who don't know the difference.
I prefer to differentiate by saying Bitcoin for BTC and shitcoin for the rest.
Though one could quite a case for Monero as not being a shitcoin.
Thing is, it’s people who should know better who do this lately.
And it’s an insult to cryptography to call shitcoins crypto, but it is what it is.
While things may be technically correct, the interchangeable use of Bircoin and crypto muddies the waters.
I’m still team anything but Bitcoin is a shitcoin. I hope everyone has the right to shitcoin. Or Bitcoin. But it’s the difference between gold and pyrite.
We can’t be lumped into “crypto.” We’re better than that.
