I think having a logo for nostr would be nice. Mastodon has one and it’s recognizable. It helps with forming a vision around nostr.
It also makes it easier for people to include it on their website without experiencing choice paralysis.
HTML has a logo, php has a logo. I think it’s fine to have one.
I looked at one website with share button generator for Mastodon (without logos) and it looks incredibly dull. I don’t know about you but I like to feel excitement about something I’m going to try.
I agree. A well-designed logo is VERY important! It’s always something I notice.

Logos for decentralized tech seem to be emergent phenomena from memes more than direct effort by a small group.
Each of your mentioned examples have small organizations who are responsible for development so it’s natural for them to form a logo.
I’d argue the ostrich is the meme that underpins any logo. We just haven’t found the style and form factor of the ostrich that is iconic enough to have everyone converge on one logo.
The right ostrich could work if we can make the CEO happy ;)

And you are right. Guess there’s not a lot options like an animal, a circle with a N and some font but this migh look like the hot wheels logo. So ..mixing nice colours into the circle with the N 🤷🏽♀️

A logo is an identity. An identity is what gives a brand or product it's basis. Imagine an iPhone without the Apple logo on the back. Or a MacBook without an Apple logo on the lid. They got rid of the glowing version, sadly, but it was quite important for many years for recognition.
So yeah, super down for Nostr logos!
