Idk maybe. The 20-minute block time is high to ensure privacy is preserved. I doubt many would want to risk using a less secure variant just to use Nostr when we can use lightning.

Personally, I'm fine with Monero devs focusing on increasing privacy and speeding up the network. Eqch tool has is strength and weaknesses, and that's good. BTC for saving, lightning for speedy transactions, and Monero for guarunteed privacy.
