#privacytechpro tip: you can connect orbot to tor on android #GrapheneOS without it taking up a vpn slot.

connect to your always-on vpn ex: #mullvad or #proton as usual. use splittunneling to exclude apps that don't play nicely with a vpn from vpn traffic for best usability.

open orbot, make sure 'start orbot on boot' and 'allow background starts', and 'power user mode' are ticked in settings. then manually connect via your notification or in the app

now #orbot will auto-start and connect to tor while your always-on vpn stays connected

Thank you! i dont see power user mode, does it go by another name on different os?

are you on android?

Yes

you don't see it in settings? are you still able to connect?

I donr see it in settings, i ha e connected, both in amethyst and within orbit

in the orbot settings

Is there splittunnelling functionality for Mullvad on iOS ?

Thanks for the info !

ofc

If someone has their cell service anonymously, like a pre paid plan, I do not see the need to run tor and orbot. A good option to have when you need it though. I only run tor browser if using an onion site. My VPN is always on.
