Who provides the message and how is it presented? You actually think you are the first person to present that information? Maybe they are that way because of incessant body commentary when they were young about being bigger than average (or whatever), without any guidance or support about how not to be(?) There is a 'fuck it' point that can be achieved with oppression and then freedom.
I personally have experience of body dysmorphia due to being told I was fat growing up when I was not.
Am I, like, being paid to be skinny? No. Does it, like, have any effect on my sex life either slutty or committed? No.
Work life: do I want to go into sales or marketing or visual customer service? No. Do I want to date any of my coworkers? No, rookie mistake.
