I support open source, I donate what I can, where I can, when I can. I just don't want the base layer being fucked around with too much.

Also Bitcoin development doesn't just involve Bitcoin core. All the other opensource developments happening under the Bitcoin umbrella like lightning, cashu, statechains, btcpay server, etc
Not personally used it but every one seems to be commending seed signer too
Then don't update your node to a fucked version
If more people understood this a lot of these complaints wouldn't happen.
Back to basics and realize you control your node. Don't blindly update because your favorite person said so. This would rely on people being able to understand BIPS.
