I know someone who said they genuinely developed a taste for non-alcoholic beer. Apparently they found a recipe with tomato juice that they said was really good.

Me personally, when I turned 21 I went to a bar and ordered an alcohol free beer. Maybe they are also just drinking it to flex. "Look at all this stuff I'm drinking that COULD have alcohol but doesn't!"
