Per RHR today,

44% of your income tax dollars in the US go towards paying off government debt.

So you go to work 1-2 days every week of your life to pay off someone else’s debt.

And they can print money.

Can’t be any better up here.

Filling in taxes at the moment and holy crap, I am a firm believer that making everyone write one tax cheque every year, payable to Trudeau, would end this profligacy in a heartbeat. Pay as you earn was the greatest trick the fiat devil ever pulled.

I pay once a year. The filing process is a pain in the ass, and the money that has to be paid isn't worth the services. The federal government, in Canada especially, is a huge scam.
