Yet. A lot of people are having problems withdrawing their balances today. This is a story we’ve seen before.

Who? I haven’t seen anything on balances being frozen or SATS lost.

I’m not naming any names, but some people I know have amounts they tried to withdraw that have been “queued” for several hours.

Are they using LN ot on chain? Fees are high these days.

Mostly just holding it there.

I drained WoS (there wasn’t much.)

Out of a dozen or more transactions, I did have one queued and zap failed.

You got rugged?

No. No I did not get rugged in any sense of the word. Unless you count a well intentioned zap that didn’t go through as intended, as a rugging.

I do not sir.

Indeed.

🙋‍♂️

I sent a good amount of sats from a self-custodial Lightning wallet to WoS yesterday, planning to move them on-chain after the weekend. When I saw the posts about a potential rug last night, I quickly tried to send those sats over to Phoenix.

Showed as “Sent” in WoS but nothing in Phoenix - had me pretty worried. WoS email support quickly provided me with the TXID, payment hash & preimage (not that I knew what to do with those). It was encouraging, but still nothing in Phoenix for hours.

Fast forward to this morning; new channel capacity in Phoenix was available and the sats were there. Very long delay to open the channel, but all was well.

Stressful experience but a very memorable lesson, for sure.

Phoenix needs to be connected to receive. Just make sure to open it back up after you send to it. Problem solved.

Re-reading this and sounds like it was a splicing or new channel issue. Disregard. Sorry for the time waste.

No worries - it was a splicing thing although that is still usually pretty quick, few minutes average. Fortunately all good

I did withdraw my 10 sats that were on their from zapartizing no problem. But can’t speak for everyone lol
