Yesterday was fruitful but only half as much was done as hoped. Got the tubes piped into the house and the house-end reburied. The pipe to the left is for a future generator sub panel. This morning it snowed, the other end will need to wait until Monday. I found a gopher filled in part of the trench this morning, good thing I put a rag in the end of the pipe or it'd be filled with frogs.

I estimate it'll take 12 elapsed hours to finish the entire trench with 4 of us working. Good training oppy! I plan to spread it out over 5 to 10 days, probably on weekends. The important part is to get it piped into the buildings on the ends so I can run a temporary cat5 wire and order a preterminated single mode fiber for inside the pipe. The new long-handled trenching shovel was a perfect suggestion!

You are making great progress. It’s like a giant Lego project huh? Saving $$$$$

Its still not free. The first time I did this by hiring a full size excavator, after all the pipes and wires it was over $15k and that was before the run up on building materials

For sure. I just built a cabana - I have about 5% to finish. Even without the labour costs,I spent over $35k on materials.

But it’s satisfying and keeps me busy.
